Dr. Guiroy Joins Oakridge Staff
Associates in Family Medicine is delighted to announce that Dr. Jessica Guiroy, MD will be joining the staff of the Oakridge Office effective December 1st, 2010. She is replacing Dr. Monaco who is leaving Fort Collins to return to the east coast.
Dr. Jessica Guiroy was born and raised in Pond Eddy, New York in the Catskill Mountains along the Delaware River. She received her B.S. at Cornell University and performed animal science research leading her to Kenya and Ecuador, which eventually fostered her interest in the field of human medicine. She did graduate research in Childhood Obesity and completed her Master’s Degree in Human Nutrition at the University of California, Davis. She later went on to complete her medical school and residency training at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis.
Dr. Guiroy’s particular interests within Family Medicine include women’s health, obstetrics, pediatrics, nutrition, and office procedures. She is fluent in Spanish and welcomes Spanish-speaking patients in her new practice.
Dr. Guiroy’s husband Pablo is from Argentina. Along with their three young children, they enjoy traveling to visit family in Argentina and New York, and doing outdoors activities such as fly-fishing, hiking, kayaking, skiing, and gardening.
Dr. Guiroy is accepting new patients. She will join the dedicated staff at the Oakridge Office to provide comprehensive, compassionate, coordinated medical care for all ages. Call the Oakridge Office at 225-0096 to schedule an appointment.
