AFM offers a broad range of healthcare services, all delivered with the care and concern only Family Practice physicians and physician extenders can offer. Some of our services include:
Complete family care.
Each of our providers has been specially trained and Board Certified, where applicable, to provide comprehensive family medicine. Family medicine includes ongoing education and training in internal medicine, pediatrics, adult care, obstetrics, gynecology, surgery and psychiatry. We believe that a close relationship with a family physician is important it maintaining your family's health.
Women's Care.
We offer complete womens' care including obstetrics and gynecology. Additional services include in-house mammography and osteoporosis testing. If your preference is a female provider, we offer at least one and usually at least two female providers in each of our five locations.
Workplace care.
AFM Urgent Care is the preferred choice of many community employers. Immediate, cost-effective care can be delivered 8am - 9pm daily, major holidays excepted. We will contact your employer on your behalf if you present with a work injury and handle the necessary paperwork and communications to ensure that you get the work injury care you need in a timely fashion. For routine workplace physicals, any of our five locations can meet your needs.
Sports Medicine.
Our community is an active one. Therefore, several of our providers take a special interest in treating sports injuries. Please use the Find A Provider feature to locate one near you.
Prenatal/Obstetrics Care.
Good health begins with the best possible prenatal care. We offer numerous prenatal education classes to help you prepare for your childbirth, nutrition, exercise and breast-feeding responsibilities. For non-first time mothers to be, an abbreviated refresher course is available as well. Ask your provider for details.
Senior Care.
AFM welcomes seniors. We accept Medicare assignment and will bill Medicare and your supplemental insurance on your behalf. Senior services include in-house osteoporosis screening, hypertension monitoring, cardiac stress testing and several providers who specialize in care for seniors. They can be found using the Find A Provider feature.
Pediatric Care.
Treating the whole family means taking special interest in its youngest members. Infant and pediatric care are seamless extensions of our obstetrical and adult care services. For those frequent childhood illness, the convenience of same-day appointments and no-appointment Urgent Care can meet your growing child's need for immediate care.
Acupuncture and Massage Therapy.
We are pleased to offer the complimentary medicine service of both Acupuncture and, by referral, Massage Therapy.
Acupuncture is a clinical science which has been time tested for over five thousand years. Acupuncture safely and effectively helps the body to heal itself. Acupuncture treats pains (chronic and acute) and various illnesses including those, which are not responding to other health care modalities. Acupuncture consists of placing very thin needles in various points on the body to help alleviate and cure many ailments.
