Digital Mammography
One in eight women will be affected by breast cancer in their lifetime. But with early detection, the outcome of a breast cancer diagnosis can be greatly improved. Since mammography can detect changes in the breast that are too small or subtle to be felt, physicians have relied on this technology to confront possible cancers at earlier stages. Full-field digital mammography is the next step in early detection, and Associates in Family Medicine is proud to provide this advancement to women in Northern Colorado.

Bone Density Testing (DEXA)
AFM offers state-of-the-art bone density scanning or bone densitometry. This technology is today’s established standard for measuring bone mineral density (BMD) and testing is generally done on the hip and spine. This test is most often used to diagnose osteoporosis, a condition that often affects women after menopause but may also be found in men.
